The inbetween
Shortly after Michael and I were married, we were in the middle of turning the garage into a mastersuite. But the inbetween was very messy. The kids were bunk mates for a couple of months and all of my furniture was piled in the dining room. One weekend we were kid less and I was struggling with a lot of emotions from past choices. With me sitting with my back to his chest and his arms wrapped around me, he began to speak the Word of God over me. He spoke ALL the promises of God and then had me close my eyes. He began to pray. As he prayed I saw my hand open in front of me and a dove flew to my hand. I picked up all I was holding so tightly too and placed it one by one on the doves back. When I finished I saw the dove fly away. That moment in time, changed me in ways I will never be able to explain.
So you see, when a man is so plugged into Jesus and so obedient, God uses him to bring safety, healing, security and love into a broken situation. God uses it ALL for your good and His Glory. I’ve only told this story a few times. I was reminded of it today as I see the wind blowing in rotation from the remnants of tropical storm Debby. It’s the inbetween that can feel so heavy. But despite the threat of the storm, God is with you, and the wind may blow and the rain may come but after it’s gone, there is so much beauty to behold. The sun is shining, there’s a light breeze and ALL is well.

God will bring you through the inbetween. Just trust Him and He will see you through.

Therefore we will not fear, though the earth give way and the mountains fall into the heart of the sea, though its waters roar and foam and the mountains quake with their surging” - Isaiah 40:31 "But they who wait for the Lord shall renew their strength; they shall mount up with wings like eagles; they shall run and not be weary; they shall walk and not faint"
