Acceptance…
Acceptance is peace
No amount of anxiety will change your future and no amount of regret will change your past. (This is true)
Peace can be found in acceptance:
~ Accept imperfection
~ Accept uncertainty
~ Accept uncontrollable
I realized that is exactly what I did when Michael’s cancer returned. I accepted what the outcome could be. We went into meeting his oncologist wanting her wisdom and experience on outcomes.
I accepted her wisdom and human expertise BUT I was trusting God for the miracle I know only He can perform.
I agree acceptance of human understanding is important.
But what’s more important is knowing where true peace comes from:
“I am leaving you with a gift—peace of mind and heart. And the peace I give is a gift the world cannot give. So don’t be troubled or afraid.”
John 14:27 NLT
“Then you will experience God’s peace, which exceeds anything we can understand. His peace will guard your hearts and minds as you live in Christ Jesus.”
Philippians 4:7 NLT
Detox your mind… The Bible says it this way:
Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is—his good, pleasing and perfect will.
So on this cool brisk Monday morning. I’m resting in peace accepting what I know God has already done and will continue to do. I trust and love Him so much. He has given me my hearts desire in Michael and that in itself is a miracle.
